News: 1 dead after car crashes into semi-truck in Butler Co.

BUTLER CO., IA - One person died following a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck on Thursday morning.

According to KIMT, the crash took place at about 9:35 a.m. within the intersection of 300th Street and Ridge Avenue.

Investigators say the driver of the semi was attempting to turn left when the passenger vehicle slammed into the rear of the truck. The vehicle then rolled over into a nearby ditch, ejecting the driver in the process.

The 82-year-old woman in the car suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
