News: 2 hurt following multi-vehicle crash on 16th Ave. in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Two people suffered injuries after a multi-vehicle crash near the Ced-Rel Supper Club on Sunday, KCRG reports.

The crash occurred at about 12:45 p.m. within the 11900 block of 16th Avenue Southwest.

Deputies with the Linn County Sheriff's Department say the driver of a westbound Ford Explorer was attempting to make the left turn into the Supper Club when their vehicle collided with an eastbound Mazda-6.

Two occupants in the Mazda, ages 23 and 18, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt as an immediate result.

Investigators believe failure to yield was a factor in the crash.
