News: 2 injured after car collides with train in Black Hawk Co.

BLACK HAWK CO., IA - Two people were injured following a collision involving a car and a train in Black Hawk County on Saturday afternoon.

According to a report by KOEL, the crash took place shortly after 2:30 p.m. within the 100 block of Canfield Road, near the town of Raymond.

Sheriff's deputies say both the driver and passenger in the car were hospitalized. The passenger suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, while the driver's injuries were not as severe.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are unclear at this time.
