DES MOINES, IA - A woman was killed following a fiery high-speed crash in south Des Moines on Sunday morning.
According to a report by CBS 2, the crash occurred at about 4:45 a.m. within the intersection of Indianola Avenue and Watrous Avenue.
Witnesses told police the female driver of an unspecified vehicle was speeding when she lost control and collided with a utility pole.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a vehicle engulfed in flames with the driver trapped inside. The driver, a 25-year-old female, suffered fatal injuries in the wreck.
