News: Anamosa woman arrested after fleeing motorcycle crash

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - A woman was arrested after fleeing the scene of a collision that left a motorcyclist seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon.

According to CBS 2, the motorcyclist was hit from behind at about 3:30 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 151.

The man lost control of the motorcycle and fell off before it slid into a nearby ditch. The driver immediately fled the scene.

The motorcyclist was transported to St. Luke's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two hours after the accident occurred, the 19-year-old driver turned herself in. She was charged with excessive speed, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and no insurance.
