DES MONIES, IA - One lane was closed following a rush-hour collision on US-65 in southeast Des Moines on Thursday afternoon.
According to Iowa 511, the crash was initially reported at about 4 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, near Exit 77 to Vandalia Road.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. However, at least one southbound lane was closed as a result of the crash.
It is unclear if any injuries were sustained as a direct result of the crash. Delays were reported going back to Southeast 64th Street for some time afterward.
