News: Driver injured after crashing into rural Perry home

PERRY, IA - A driver suffered injuries after careening into a home in rural Perry on Monday night.

According to The Perry News, the incident occurred at about 9 p.m. within the 1900 block of Jewel Place.

Police say the driver was traveling north when his vehicle veered off the roadway, crashed into a ditch, and then fell a tree before crashing into the home.

Fortunately, no one inside the home was hurt. However, the driver sustained minor injuries in the wreck and his vehicle sustained significant front-end damage.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
