News: Fatal single-vehicle crash reported near West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, IA - One person suffered fatal injuries resulting from a single-vehicle crash near West Liberty on Tuesday night.

According to KCJJ, the crash took place at about 9 p.m. within the 2200 block of Delta Avenue, just north of West Liberty.

Troopers with the Iowa State Patrol say the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and rolled it into a ditch.

The front-seat passenger in the vehicle was ejected in the crash. That individual was killed as a result.

The driver was able to safely get out of the vehicle and free the passenger in the rear. They were both transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
