WAUKON, IA - A pilot suffered only minor injuries after a helicopter crash in northeast Iowa early Wednesday morning, KCHA reports.
The accident occurred at about 8 p.m. just outside of Waukon when the pilot was flying low over a cornfield and applying chemicals.
Investigators say the helicopter hit a powerline and crashed down into the field. the pilot was taken to Waukon Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He has since been released.
The crash remains under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
