LE CLAIRE, IA - A woman suffered serious injuries after a rock fell off a dump truck and crashed through her windshield in LeClaire on Tuesday morning.
According to a report by KWQC, the incident occurred in the 600 block of North Cody Road at about 9:17 a.m.
Investigators say the woman behind the wheel of a 2020 Hyundai Palisade was heading north when the rock fell off of a southbound dump truck and hit her windshield.
The Hyundai veered off the roadway and into an embankment, leaving the woman seriously injured. She was subsequently transported to Genesis East Hospital via ambulance, where she remains in critical condition.
