NEW HAMPTON, IA - A man was injured yesterday afternoon when his vehicle collided with a truck east of New Hampton, the Iowa State Patrol reports.
A 40-year-old Charles City man was driving east on Highway 24 when he drifted into the oncoming lane just ahead of Quinlan Avenue. His 2005 Chevrolet Suburban subsequently collided with an oncoming Peterbilt semi truck and then the guardrail before coming to a rest in the right shoulder.
Emergency responders transported him by ambulance to MercyOne New Hampton with unspecified injuries.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
