News: Hundreds without power after Davenport hit-and-run

DAVENPORT, IA - Hundreds of Davenport residents were left without power last Friday after a driver slammed into a utility pole, KWQC reports.

The vehicle crashed into a power line pole while traveling on West 53rd Street before immediately fleeing the scene.

It is unclear if anyone was injured as a result of the single-vehicle crash. However, nearly 500 homes lost power for some time afterward.
