Authorities say that a 17-year-old girl was driving her 2008 Kia Sorento west in the 900 block of Burr Oakes Road when a deer ran her front of the vehicle. She swerved to avoid a collision, which caused the SUV to overturn and land on its roof.
The driver and her 16-year-old female passenger were both treated at the scene for minor injuries and were then released to their parents.
