According to a report by Northwest Iowa News, the crash took place at about 9:20 p.m. when the 17-year-old driver lost control of his Ford F-150 pickup truck on Buchanan Avenue.
The vehicle struck a ditch on the west side of the road and rolled an unknown number of times.
The driver was taken to Hawarden Regional Healthcare with unknown injuries. Police say he was cited for failure to maintain control.
