MUSCATINE, IA - A truck hauling a trailer full of hogs overturned just southwest of the town of Muscatine yesterday morning, KWPC reports.
The incident happened on US 61 near Dick Drake Highway at about 8:45 a.m. on November 30, shutting down traffic for several hours as authorities worked the scene and the livestock was transferred to a second truck.
Neither the driver or the hogs were seriously injured.
Authorities believe the crash happened because the driver attempted to make a turn while traveling too fast for conditions.
