LINN CO., IA - One person was killed and another was injured following a two-vehicle collision about five miles west of Central City this morning.

KCRG reports that the incident happened at about 8:40 a.m. on Monday, July 19, when a 42-year-old Coggon man ran a stop sign at the intersection of Alburnett Road and Central City Road and collided with another vehicle.
The driver of the struck vehicle was killed at the scene, while the Coggon man was taken to Mercy Hospital with injuries not deemed life-threatening.
Further investigations are ongoing.
