News: 3 ejected after crash on I-35 near Norwalk

NORWALK, IA - Three people were critically injured after being ejected from a vehicle during a collision on I-35 Thursday afternoon.

According to Local 5 News, the incident took place at about 4:30 p.m. near the 60 mile marker, just outside of Norwalk.

Three people were thrown from the vehicle as a result of the crash. Two of them were flown to a hospital in Des Moines in critical condition for treatment. The third was also transported in critical condition by ambulance.

Investigators with the Iowa State Patrol and Warren County Sherriff's Office believe tire failure played a role in the crash.
