FAIRPORT, IA - A child was flown to a hospital in Iowa City on Sunday after being injured in a fall at a houseboat, the Muscatine Journal reports.
At 3:18 p.m. on July 18, the Muscatine County Joint Communications Center received reports that a 12-year-old girl had slipped and fallen at a houseboat in the Fairport Recreational Area. According to the call, the girl was conscious and breathing, but could not feel the lower half of her body.
Emergency responders airlifted the girl to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Her current condition is unknown.
