News: Coon Rapids man killed when train collides with car in Greene Co.

GREENE CO., IA - A man from Coon Rapids was killed when his car collided with a train on County Road P-33 in Greene County yesterday morning.

According to Racoon Valley Radio, the crash happened at about 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, when the 62-year-old driver of a Toyota Corolla failed to stop for a Union Pacific train that was crossing P-33.

Several county and city emergency services responded to the scene, including the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa State Patrol, the Jefferson and Grand Junction fire departments, the Iowa Department of Transportation, and Greene County Ambulance.
