News: Driver killed after running stop sign near New Hartford

BUTLER CO., IA - A Denver, IA man was killed early this morning when he ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle at an intersection about five miles north of New Hartford.

KOEL reports that the fatal crash happened at around 4:30 a.m. today, when an SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a pickup within the intersection of 280th Street and Temple Avenue.

The 40-year-old Denver man driving the SUV died as a result of the crash.

It is not clear whether the pickup's 58-year-old male drive was hurt.

The Iowa State Patrol responded to the collision alongside several other emergency services.
