News: Oskaloosa man injured when car strikes his motorcycle in Mahaska Co.

MAHASKA CO., IA - A man from Oskaloosa was injured on Tuesday when a car rear-ended his motorcycle on US-163 in Mahaska County.

KBOE reports that the 65-year-old man was traveling west on 163 at about 5:20 p.m. when he was struck from behind by a car driven by a 49-year-old Ellsworth woman. The collision caused the Oskaloosa man to be thrown from his motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries.

Emergency responders rushed the injured motorcyclist to an unnamed hospital in Des Moines.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
