News: Passenger injured following motorcycle crash in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - A woman was injured when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger crashed at an intersection in southwest Cedar Rapids on Sunday.

CBS 2 reports that the accident happened on US 30 and Williams Boulevard/US-151 at about 8:15 p.m. on July 25.

The motorcycle's 47-year-old operator said he hit an oil slick, which caused him to lose control. While he was unhurt, his 53-year-old wife suffered a broken leg.

She was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
