QUASQUETON, IA - More information has been released regarding the car-vs.-bicycle accident that sent a man to the hospital yesterday, Click2Iowa reports.

A Cedar Rapids man was riding his bicycle south in the 2800 block of Quasqueton Avenue at about 8:10 a.m. on July 28 when he was struck by a 2011 Ford Transit Connect driven by a Denver man.
The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to UIHC in Iowa City. Fortunately, he is expected to survive.
The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the incident. They say that the injured man was not participating in the RAGBRAI bicycling event currently passing through the southern part of the county.
