News: 2 killed, 4 injured in Dickenson Co. crash

DICKINSON CO, IA - Two people were killed and four others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Dickinson County on Saturday morning.

KTIV reports that the accident took place sometime before noon at the intersection of Highway 71 and 120th Street.

Investigators believe the driver of a car heading east on 120th Street failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into a pickup truck.

The 29-year-old female driver of the car and her 1-year-old son were both killed in the accident. Her two daughters, ages 5 and 6, were transported to a hospital in Spirit Lake. They were later transferred to a facility in Sioux Falls for further treatment.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 63-year-old Minnesota man, sustained "non-incapacitating injuries". His passenger, a 58-year-old woman, was taken to Spirit Lake Hospital with more serious injuries. She was also transported to a hospital in Sioux Falls.
