IOWA CITY, IA - A suspected drunk driver crashed into multiple parked cars at an Iowa City Walmart last Thursday evening.
KCJJ reports that at about 6 p.m. police were called to the Walmart near Highway 1 over claims of a fight and a driver that crashed into multiple parked vehicles.
Witnesses claim the driver was in a Hyundai Elantra with two children when he got out of his vehicle and pulled a woman out of the driver's seat of her Toyota Camry. He then took control of the Camry and crashed it into a parked car.
The man then exited the Camry and returned the Elantra before crashing into another parked vehicle.
The suspect took a breathalyzer test with a reading of .132. A Datamaster test revealed his blood alcohol level was at 0.94 percent. He was charged with OWI first offense and Child Endangerment.
The report did not state the condition of the children or the woman that was pulled out of her vehicle.
