ADAIR, IA - A truck driver was injured yesterday afternoon in an accident on eastbound I-80 near Adair that involved three semi trucks.

Prior to the collision, the driver of the 2019 Freightliner had entered the left lane in an attempt to pass the 2007 Freightliner, which caused a 2007 Kenworth to swerve off the roadway while trying to avoid the other truck. The Kenworth subsequently hit a high-tension cable barrier.

The driver of the 2019 Freightliner was injured in the crash. He was transported to a hospital in Des Moines by medical helicopter.
