News: Woman injured after trying to avoid Deer in Alton

ALTON, IA - A woman was injured after she tried to avoid crashing into a Deer early Sunday morning.

N West Iowa reports that the accident happened at around 12:40 a.m. on Highway 60 three miles north of Alton. The driver was southbound on the highway when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle then entered a ditch on the east side of the road and skipped over railway tracks.

The driver was taken to Orange City Area Health System via ambulance.
