News: 1 killed, 2 injured after head-on collision in Ottumwa

OTTUMWA, IA - One person was killed and two people were injured after a head-on collision in Ottumwa on Thursday evening.

Ottumwa Courier reports that the crash took place at around 6 p.m. when a 57-year-old driver crossed the center line on US 63 and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze.

The at-fault driver died at the scene. Two passengers of the Chevrolet were transported to a medical center in Des Moines with unknown injuries.

The accident currently remains under investigation.
