News: Driver extricated after crash on I-380 on-ramp

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - One man needed to be extricated following a single-vehicle crash at a busy freeway interchange in Cedar Rapids yesterday.

According to a report by CBS 2, the crash occurred along the ramp from Highway 30 eastbound to southbound I-380 shortly before 3 p.m.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, emergency crews used struts, chains, straps, and a went to stabilize the vehicle and extricate one passenger.

The unidentified passenger was airlifted to UI Hospitals in serious condition.
