DES MOINES, IA - A portion of Highway 65 was shut down after a cement truck overturned in the roadway this morning, KCCI reports.
Police say the truck was attempting to merge onto the freeway near the Vandalia Road overpass around 9 a.m. when it overturned.
No serious injuries were reported as a direct result of the crash.
The contents of the truck spilled across the southbound lanes of the freeway, causing major delays for rush-hour commuters in the area.
