News: Iowa teen injured in Union Co. crash

UNION CO., IA - A teen was seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in Union County yesterday.

According to a report by Western Iowa Today, the 16-year-old driver lost control of his 2011 Kia Soul at about 4:45 p.m. along Creamery Road, near 165th Street.

Police say the Kis slammed into a bridge and crossed a small river before striking an embankment and rolling over a number of times.

The teen was ejected in the crash and subsequently airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for treatment of serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
