News: Man killed, teen injured after wrong-way crash in Hardin Co.

HARDIN CO., IA - One man died and another was injured following a head-on crash in Hardin County this morning, KWWL reports.

The accident took place as the 18-year-old driver in a Chevrolet Avalanche was heading east on Highway 20 when he veered into the oncoming lanes at about 10:30 a.m.

Investigators say the Chevrolet slammed head-onto into a Ford Explorer moments after crossing into the westbound lanes.

The 65-year-old man in the Ford suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver responsible for the crash was hospitalized in unknown condition.
