GUTTENBERG, IA - A motorcyclist died on Sunday morning after being hit by a kayak that had fallen off a trailer in northeastern Iowa.
According to KCCI, the incident occurred just before 11 a.m. along an Allamakee County Road.
Troopers say the kayak fell off of a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck and hit the motorcycle, causing the rider to lose control and crash.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 75-year-old man, died from injuries sustained in the crash. No other injuries were reported as a result.
