News: Multi-vehicle crash blocks lane on I-235 at 56th St.

DES MOINES, IA - Delays were reported following a rush-hour crash on I-235 in Des Moines on Tuesday evening.

According to a report by Iowa 511, the crash occurred at about 6:43 p.m. on the westbound side of the interstate, near Exit 5A to 56th Street.

The cause of the crash is not clear at this time. However, at least one right lane was closed for some time after the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.

No injuries were reported as an immediate version of the crash. All lanes were reopened by 7 p.m.
