News: Single-vehicle crash in Tiffin leaves 1 dead

TIFFIN, IA - A passenger died last Friday following a single-vehicle crash near Tiffin, KCJJ reports.

The collision occurred at about 8 a.m. when the driver of a 2016 Mitsubishi filed to stop at the stop sign on Half Moon Avenue at Highway 6.

Investigators believe the vehicle skidded across the highway and slammed into a roadside tree.

The 64-year-old driver was rushed to University of Iowa Hospitals in unknown condition. A 65-year-old passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
