News: Woman hurt after crashing into Linn Co. cornfield

LINN CO., IA - A woman from Cedar Rapids was hospitalized after crashing into a cornfield near Springville early this morning, KCRG reports.

Deputies say the unidentified female driver of an SUV was heading east on Springville Road when she ran through the stop sign at Secrist Road at about 7:43 a.m.

The SUV traveled through the intersection and went through a nearby fence before crashing into the cornfield. She was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

No additional injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
