WORTH CO., IA - A three-vehicle collision in north Kensett last Friday night claimed the lives of two people, including a young child.
According to a report by WHO, the incident occurred on Highway 65 about a half-mile north of downtown at about 10:20 p.m.
Trooper say a 24-year-old woman was heading north when her vehicle crossed the center divider for unknown reasons and crashed head-on with a southbound vehicle. The woman's vehicle overturned and landed on its roof before being struck by an oncoming semi-truck.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The semi-truck's driver and a 3-year-old child in her vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the wreck.
