DES MOINES, IA- Officials reported and responded to a house fire on 40th Street in Des Moines on Sunday, according to WHO 13 News.
At approximately 9:30am, a garage fire spread to a house near the 1000 block of 40th Street. Officials responded to the incident shortly after and worked to extinguish the fire, but heat made this difficult. The occupants were able to escape from the fire, however, significant damage was confirmed.
