ARCADIA, IA - A man was hospitalized after a helicopter crash in a corn field south of Arcadia on Monday morning, KCCI reports.
The Carroll County Sheriff's office says the man was spraying a cornfield when the aircraft's engine malfunctioned, causing it to crash to the ground.
The pilot managed to get out and walk to a nearby roadway. He was then transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
