BENTON COUNTY, IA - A person is dead after they slammed head-on into a semi-truck at US 30 and 14th Ave Sunday, according to WHO 13.
An SUV driver was driving west in the eastbound lanes of traffic when it plowed into a westbound semi-truck around 6:20 p.m.
Emergency responders pronounced the SUV driver dead at the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
The crash is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
