MADISON COUNTY, IA -- A vehicle crash early Thursday blocked a right lane and right shoulder on Interstate 35 near north Bevington, according to Stateside Iowa 511.
The accident occurred on the southbound interstate between County Roads G4R and G14 (Exit 65) and Iowa Highway 92 (Exit 56). It was first reported by Iowa 511 at 3:11 a.m.
Authorities initially indicated the right shoulder was blocked, but by 3:35 a.m., the right lane was shut down.

The scene remained on the roadway until about 6:18 a.m., more than three hours later, indicating a serious collision and extensive emergency response.
