DES MOINES, IA -- A vehicle collision Thursday afternoon closed up to four lanes on Interstate 235 near the New Visions neighborhood in downtown Des Moines, according to Stateside Iowa 511.
The crash impacted the eastbound lanes at 5th Avenue and was first reported by Iowa 511 at 3:28 p.m.

Two left lanes were initially blocked, but shortly after, the closure also included two right lanes.
By 3:51 p.m., more than 20 minutes later, the scene had been cleared from the roadway with all lanes reopened to traffic.
