DES MOINES, IA -- A vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon blocked an Interstate 235 exit ramp near the Martin Luther King Jr. Park neighborhood in northeast Des Moines, according to Stateside Iowa 511.
The collision occurred on the offramp from I-235 westbound to East University Avenue at Exit 1A. It was first reported by Iowa 511 at 1:24 p.m.
Authorities initially indicated a partial closure, but by 1:36 p.m., the entire ramp had been closed.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
