News: One hurt in crash on E 29th St near NE Des Moines

DES MOINES, IA -- At least one person was injured early Thursday evening in a vehicle collision near northeast Des Moines' Accent neighborhood, according to Des Moines Police Department.

The accident happened at the intersection of East 29th Street and Easton Boulevard, a few blocks east of Easttown Park. It was first reported by DMPD at 5:07 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but a photo captured at the scene shows police vehicles responding under snowing weather conditions.

Minor injuries were reported, and commuters were told to expect delays in all directions within the area.

Tow trucks were also en route to the scene, indicating more than one vehicle was involved.
