News: One hurt in two-vehicle crash after Davenport chase

DAVENPORT, IA -- A driver was injured early Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision near Davenport's St. Ambrose University, according to Our Quad Cities.

The crash happened on Locust Street, between North Harrison Street and North Main Street, shortly before 1:00 a.m.

Authorities said an Iowa State Patrol trooper had been pursuing a suspect in an SUV when the suspect collided with another SUV, badly damaging both vehicles. A fire hydrant was also impacted in the accident.

An ISP report indicates the suspect sustained injuries in the crash, but it was unclear whether or not he was transported to a hospital.

No information has been shared regarding the condition of the other SUV driver.

As of this writing, the suspect was not listed as an inmate in the Scott County Jail.
