DES MOINES, IA -- One person had to be rescued Wednesday evening after a single-vehicle crash in the Sherman Hill area of Des Moines, according to DSM Police Scanner.
The accident happened near a residence at 2615 Center Street and was first reported by DSM at 6:43 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the collision, but the vehicle had overturned onto its side, trapping one occupant.

As of this writing, authorities have not confirmed any serious injuries in the incident, but fire crews were en route to the scene for a rescue extrication.
