POLK COUNTY, IA -- A tractor-trailer accident was reported Thursday afternoon on Interstate 80 near Mally's Weh-Weh-Neh-Kee Park in Berwick, according to Chris Gloninger, Chief Meteorologist at KCCI-TV.
The crash happened on the westbound lanes at East 38th Street, just west of Altoona. It was first reported by KCCI at 3:16 p.m.
Footage captured at the scene indicates that the big rig jackknifed during snowy weather conditions. A traffic backup was forming as emergency crews responded to the scene.
