JEFFERSON COUNTY, IA -- A vehicle collision Tuesday morning closed a section of U.S. Highway 34 near east Fairfield, according to Iowa 511.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes from Wintergreen Boulevard (Exit 214) to Burlington Avenue, or Bus. US-34. It was first reported by 511 shortly after 9:00 a.m.

By 9:55 a.m., nearly an hour later, the scene had been cleared with all lanes reopened to traffic.
