WEST DES MOINES, IA -- A vehicle collision Tuesday morning closed a right lane on Interstate 35 near the Ashawa area in central West Des Moines, according to Iowa 511.
The accident impacted the southbound lanes from Interstate 235 (Exit 72A) to Mills Civic Parkway (Exit 70). It was first reported by 511 at 10:33 a.m.

A right shoulder was initially blocked, but shortly after, the right lane was shut down.

At 11:10 a.m., more than half an hour later, the scene had been cleared and the roadway was reopened to traffic.
