DES MOINES, IA -- A vehicle collision Thursday afternoon closed all northbound lanes on U.S. Highway 69 near south Des Moines, according to Iowa 511.
The accident occurred on the northbound highway between Interstate 235 and Iowa Highway 5. It was first reported by 511 at 3:53 p.m.

A center lane and a left lane were initially blocked, but shortly after 4:00 p.m., authorities indicated the closure had expanded to the entire road.

At 4:20 p.m., the scene had been cleared with all lanes reopened to traffic.
